Established in 2019, Sleepy Pig Farm is a non profit farmed animal sanctuary who's mission is to rescue and protect farmed animals. With a goal to educate and inspire people to connect with farmed animals and advocate vegan living.
It all started with Maybelle. While exploring dairy farms, Sleepy Pig Farm Founder, Tiffany stumbled upon a group of piglets in dire need of help. One of those piglets was two day old Maybelle. With a gut feeling, a heart of gold, and determination Tiffany got the farmer to relinquish the little piglet to her. Raised indoor for the first bit of her life, Maybelle became Tiffany's best friend, growing to over 700lbs and teaching her weight in valued lessons along the way.
Tiffany met her husband Joe, who shared her passion for farm animals. Together their love and dedication for rescuing these animals flourished. Taking their shared knowledge and experience Sleepy Pig Farm began in Redding, CT with 4 pigs, 2 goats, a cow, 4 ducks, and 6 chickens. Since their decision to grow their sanctuary they were now in search for more space. In 2021 Tiffany and Joe relocated their at the time 17 rescue animals to a 10 acre farm in Granville, NY.
With more space, comes open pastures for the animals to live out their days in pure bliss in addition to the opportunity to rescue and save more lives. Having to fence 7 acres, complete barn maintenance, and outbuilding repairs SPFAS has been hard at work getting the new farm ready. Now with over 50 rescue animals the list never ends. Let's help Sleepy Pig Farm grow into the sanctuary of their dreams!
